The kimchi she makes is amazing one of my favorites near here. They have rice cakes and buldak ramen.

IYKYK....$6 for this big thing!!! Kimchi carbonara loading!!! This lady is a master at this kimchi game!!! Her hands are magic!!!

If you live in the Petersburg or Hopewell communities it's nice to have an Asian grocery without going all the way up to Richmond. Fresh kimchi is a huge plus, although don't get the large size unless you want a literal bucket of kimchi. Heard they have kimbap on saturdays, I'll try it eventually. But overall a great store with many Korean goods for both instant food and cooking.

Great place for your Korean snacks and food. Great customer service . Family owned and operated .

If you need kimchi, they have it. Small store, but it has most of what you might need, fresh produce included.

For what it is, I'd say it's worth a visit. I'd say that you can find most if not all of your Asian basic necessities. This store is more Korean oriented as far as products are concerned, but I was able to find what I needed at a fair price. Plus, the store owner is a very kind and sweet lady.

Love the kimbop and kimchi! Went frequently when I lived in Hopewell, and still run by when I am in the area. Prices are quite fair, too.

Closest you're going to get to a Asian grocery store. Has all the essentials considering they are so small and I can't imagine there's a huge market. Fresh produce and really cheap. Btw, I bought a small kimchi and it's only day 4 and I'm almost done with it. REALLY good.

I grew up going to this store and it's great. Physically it's pretty unassuming - a little boxy building in downtown Hopewell, with narrow aisles and jam-packed shelves. It's the people that really make this place stand out; they provide the best customer service this side of the James, and you will become like family if you become a regular here. The store itself is run by a husband and wife team - John and Song Lynch, though unfortunately John just passed away. On Saturday, Song makes fresh kimchi, kimbap, and misc pickled foods. While the food she makes is a delight, watching her make it is even better. She's been making these fresh Korean meals for over 30 years, and you won't find anyone who makes a better balanced kimchi - not too salty, not too peppery. Song's kimchi is really popular among Korean-Americans who don't have time to make their own, so if you're on a health food kick, give hers a try. Her food often sells out in hours, so make sure you call ahead or get there early. If you are looking for a place to buy Korean groceries in the area, support your local business owners and come here!
